It's official. It's time for our little house to be the new home of someone special -someone who loves 1960s architecture, terrazzo flooring and fantastic views of a golf course. The orange and white kitchen is the perfect place for the new homeowner to bake pies and water the houseplants, as D is doing here.
This baking can occur while watching HGTV since the kitchen opens up to a large and bright living room with a raw marble fireplace and a happy nook for a television. I call this room the terrazzo room and Marvin and I have snuggled many a morning sitting on the loveseat and watching the birds and golfers go by. Two glass doors lead to the stone deck, which is one of the best features of the house.
Here is the master bedroom, but unfortunately my adorable dog Jessie does not convey.
There is a second living room, on the other side of the kitchen, where we watch TV and experience fine dining. I have little hints of orange in here, in the pillows, throws and painting. This room is between the foyer and dining room (which I can't seem to find a photo of).
And for those who like the sheen of ceramic tile, you will love both baths - featuring sea green tile in the guest bath and a lovely pink tile in the master. Yum.
On the way to the master is a guest bedroom and the green office. I should probably remove the nude drawing in the guest bedroom - to ward off potentially offending someone. I drew her (and many many others) while at the NC school of the arts. The unoffensive fruit oil painting is also a Danielle original.
